Love Island has confirmed that Harrison Solomon and Lauren Wood will reunite in tonight's episode of Aftersun after the couple both left the villa in emotional scenes.

Last week, bombshell Angel Swift entered the villa which saw Lauren's time on the show come to an end after Angel coupled up with Ty Isherwood, leaving Lauren single and therefore dumped.

There were plenty of tears as Lauren had previously been in a couple with Harrison, but they were subsequently split up when Toni Laites chose to couple up with him, as Harrison had been swapping between the two.

Lauren had begged Harrison to leave with her, but he insisted he needed more time to think, and after confiding in Dejon Noel-Williams and Harry Cooksley about his decision, he opted to leave the villa.

"I genuinely see myself being with her on the outside, I see a long-term girlfriend with Lauren and I feel like I'm not gonna find anyone that even comes close to her in here," Harrison told the boys.

Harrison and Lauren sat down opposite each other, with Lauren holding Harrison's face close to hers.

With Lauren and Harrison now back in the UK, the pair will reunite for the first time on screen tonight (20th July).

ITV teased: "Tonight's Love Island: Aftersun will showcase the emotional reunion between Harrison and Lauren, after he dramatically chose to leave the Villa following Lauren being dumped from the Island."

The pair will also be in the studio to discuss their Love Island journey, alongside other dumped Islanders Ben Holbrough, Adrada Pop, Tommy Bradley and Lucy Quinn.

Reflecting on his decision to leave, Harrison said he was "happy" and stands by it, albeit being sad to leave the other Islanders.

"It's all I've known for four and a half weeks," he said. "It was the best summer of my life, I had some amazing times in there. I did obviously regret a few things I did but I loved the experience, I can't fault it."

It was after Lauren left the villa that Harrison realised his experience "just wasn't the same".

He continued: "I felt like my journey was finished which is why I decided to leave. When Lauren first got the text saying she was being dumped my initial reaction to her leaving was ‘I’m going’. I came here and found what I wanted.

"Having said that, I didn’t want to make an emotional decision, I’m quite an indecisive person and so I wanted to take my time with it, rather than leave and regret what I’d done. The fact I stayed a day later and processed everything really helped me. Me leaving was making a big statement. It shows her I’m really into her and see a serious future with her."

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX, followed by Love Island: Aftersun at 10pm.
