The Marlow Murder Club, which was created by Robert Thorogood and based on his own novels, will return for its third season on Wednesday 18 March at 8pm on U&Drama - and there's an additional bit of good news for fans.

That's because the second episode, which marks the second and final part of the first mystery this season, will air straight after at 9pm.

Returning to the series will be actors including Samantha Bond, Jo Martin, Cara Horgan and Natalie Dew, while they will once again be joined by a host of guest stars across the six episodes.

Those set to feature this time around include Nigel Harman (EastEnders), Peter Davison (Doctor Who), Jacqueline Boatswain (After the Flood), Sarah Alexander (Art Detectives), Tony Gardner (Last Tango in Halifax), Jason Merrells (Happy Valley), Harry Enfield (Here We Go), Cherie Lunghi (Strike), Adrian Lukis (SAS Rogue Heroes) and Alastair Mackenzie (The Crown).

Meanwhile, Hugh Quarshie will be back as Professor Darius Gifford, a potential love interest for Bond's character, Judith Potts.

The official synopsis for season 3 says: "Now an established part of newly promoted DI Tanika Malik’s crime solving gang, retired archaeologist Judith Potts, dog walker Suzie Harris, and vicar’s wife Becks Starling are back and bringing their unconventional methods to a string of high-profile murders.

"From the sudden death of the town’s beloved mayor - the nicest man in Marlow - to a celebrity chef found dead at the launch of his cookbook with half the town in attendance, the team will be working under the watchful eye of the Marlow community.

"They’ll also be called to action at a university reunion in an eerie manor house where in a surprising twist, Becks finds herself amongst the suspects. Could this case threaten our amateur sleuths’ roles as civilian advisors?"
