Bergerac fans get major season 2 update – plus two beloved British actors are confirmed for the cast
Filming has kicked off in Jersey.

Adrian Edmondson (Alien: Earth) will be playing Nigel, a love interest for Zoë Wanamaker's Charlie, while Lesley Sharp (Red Eye) will be playing a character called Monica.
Other new stars joining for the six-part second season include Camilla Beeput (Hijack), Turlough Convery (Sanditon), Jonathan Aris (Sherlock), Charles Dale (Sherwood), Georgina Rich (Heartstopper) and Denzel Baidoo (Suspicion).

Stars returning alongside Molony and Wanamaker are Robert Gilbert as Barney Crozier, Chloé Sweetlove as Kim Bergerac, Sasha Behar as Uma Dalal, Celine Arden as Kara Molloy and Luke Nunn as Simon Calvert.
Filming is once again taking place in Jersey, with season 2 being written by Toby Whithouse, alongside Ashley Sanders, Emilie Robson and Faebian Averies.
The synopsis for season 2 says that it will see "Jim Bergerac (Molony) starting to put his life back together, while his mother-in-law Charlie Hungerford (Wanamaker) has a new man in her life".
It continues: "Jim’s even tentatively dating, with Kim’s (Sweetlove) encouragement, although it’s a big step for him. But then he meets Nicola (Beeput), a visitor to Jersey, and they connect. Could this be the start of something for Jim?
"However, before the relationship even has time to blossom, Jim is pulled back into his next big case. When the groom at a wedding reception on the island is found murdered in his hotel room, the wedding party comes under intense suspicion and scrutiny.
"Jim will have to decipher the victim’s cryptic last words from his speech if he is ever going to bring the killer to justice. And when Jim starts to unravel old secrets, more skeletons come to light, making this his most intricate case yet."
Bergerac will return to U&DRAMA in 2026.
