Rings of Power and Saltburn star confirmed among EE BAFTA Rising Star 2026 nominees
Robert Aramayo and Archie Madekwe are amongst this year's contenders.

As we approach this year's BAFTA Film Awards ceremony, the final nominees have been announced for one category - and it's the only one voted for by the public.
The EE Rising Star Award shines a spotlight on the most exciting up and coming actors, with previous winners including Tom Holland, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright and, last year, David Jonsson.
This year's nominees include Robert Aramayo, the Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power actor who recently starred in the film I Swear, as well as Archie Madekwe, the Saltburn actor who recently appeared in Lurker.
Other nominees include Posy Sterling, recognised for her role in the film Lollipop, as well as Sinners star Miles Caton and One Battle After Another star Chase Infiniti.
Film fans looking to vote for their favourite can do so here, while the winner will be announced in at the ceremony, which is taking place at London's Royal Festival Hall on Sunday 22nd February 2026.

Alongside Jonsson, last year's nominees for the Rising Star award were Marisa Abela, Jharrel Jerome, Mikey Madison and Nabhaan Rizwan.
The nominees in the rest of this year's categories at the BAFTA Film Awards have yet to be announced, but a longlist was confirmed last week.
The films which made an appearance in the most categories on this year's longlist include One Battle After Another with 16 mentions, Sinners and Hamnet with 14, Marty Supreme with 13 and Bugonia and Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein, both with 12.
This year's awards season saw a major milestone take place over the past weekend, with the Golden Globe Awards for 2026 being presented.

The big winners at the Globes included One Battle After Another and Hamnet. Unlike the BAFTAs, which hold separate film and TV awards, the Golden Globe awards contenders in both mediums at once, with Adolescence proving to be the big winner on the TV front.
The BAFTA Film Awards will take place at London's Royal Festival Hall on Sunday 22nd February 2026.
