Sinitta has been eliminated from The Jump after failing to beat TV presenter Anthea Turner in the live ski jump.
Both ladies landed successful jumps but Anthea’s 11 metre effort was enough to pip Sinitta to the post, after she managed 9.5 metres.
Pop star Sinitta had to go off of the smallest jump after revealing this was the only one she’d been cleared for. Anthea on the other hand chose to take on the “mummy bear” jump, which is the middle of the three.
Sinitta leaves the competition saying she’s “loved it”. Trainer Warren admitted he’d never seen anyone improve as much as Sinitta, who said she felt “emotional” watching back footage of her training.
The evening also saw the exit of Melinda Messenger, who suffered concussion after bashing her head during bobsleigh training. Melinda was advised to rest and recover and can no longer compete in the show. This means the final reserve Donal MacIntyre has stepped in to compete, as the injury corner grows almost as large as the competing one.
The show also saw former Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt crowned the champion for the second event running, bagging the fastest time in the giant slalom. TV presenter Laura Hamilton took second place – rather a triumph having fallen halfway through.
Tomorrow night the male and female celebrities combine to face off against each other and another two will take on the live ski jump.
