About this programme

5/10. Alex Polizzi visits the Mansion Lions Hotel in the East Sussex resort of Eastbourne, where owner Sheikh Abid Gulzar aspires to a four-star rating. However, Alex tells him to lower his expectations after finding the decor, customer service and catering all fall short of her exacting standards. She decides to concentrate on trying to turn the business into the town's best three-star establishment by working on its fundamental services - but then suffers a serious setback.
