5 Emmerdale spoilers next week
1. Guilty John Sugden frames spiker Owen for Nate Robinson's death

Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) returns to Owen's address and is concerned by the lack of response. Liam calls the police who confirm Owen's death.
Viewers will recall first seeing Owen on a date with Robert, who Owen later drugged before John stepped in.
DS Walsh shows Liam a written confession on Owen's laptop, all orchestrated by true culprit John.
The police tell Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Tracy Robinson (Amy Walsh) about Owen's 'suicide note confession' to Nate's murder, while John acts suitably shocked to hear the news.
John hopes to see some improvement in Cain after this development, but Cain is still in turmoil and he bombards Liam with questions about Owen.

Cain loses his temper when Liam refuses to tell him anything, and when Liam recounts the trauma of losing a child, John is overwhelmed with guilt that Owen's 'confession' has robbed Cain of getting justice.
John reaches out to a helpline and chats to his usual volunteer, but he's torn when the person suggests they call rather than message.
With Paddy Dingle (Dominic Brunt) telling Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) that he's volunteering on a crisis helpline, could Paddy end up speaking to John?
Meanwhile, Robert is shaken by the coincidence about Owen, and it's not long before his suspicions about John are heightened...
2. Robert Sugden investigates Owen's 'confession'

DC Cole arrives at the surgery looking for information on patient Owen's medical history, and when Robert sees the officer leaving, he tries to find out what's going on.
Claudette Anderson (Flo Wilson) lets slip that John went to Owen's house shortly before he died.

This spurs Robert on and he arranges to meet Owen's brother Steve.
Robert is shocked to hear that Owen had a solid alibi for the date of Nate's death.
Robert heads to the police station to report new information about Nate's murder, but will this lead them to guilty John?
3. Moira Dingle struggles with a big decision as Kim Tate makes an offer on Butler's Farm

Robert has another covert meeting with Kim to sign over Annie's (Sheila Mercier) field behind Moira's back, but Kim insists to Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) that no one can find out their plans.
Robert clocks Kim's desperation and refuses to sign, and later tries to find out why Kim is so interested in the land.
As for Moira, Noel from the water company arrives with news that the appeal has been rejected, leaving her fearing she'll lose Butler's Farm.

Kim leaves for Dubai with her grand plan in Joe's hands, and when he hears of Moira's troubles he repeats Kim's offer to buy the farm.
As Moira is left with a big choice to make, Cain promises to stand by her whatever she decides.
What will Moira do, and will Robert get to the bottom of Kim's scheming?

4. Mackenzie Boyd gives Charity Dingle an ultimatum

Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) can't resist telling Mack that Charity wants to be Sarah Sugden's (Katie Hill) surrogate, and an explosive argument ensues between Mack and Charity.
Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) is furious with Pollard, but Pollard warns Jacob he's making a mistake. Sarah accuses Pollard of having a problem with her gran, but he admits his real concerns are over her short life expectancy.
As for Mack, he's hurt that Charity is willing to carry Sarah's baby but not his, and the pair remain at odds. Then Charity finds out that the clinic are going to try to inseminate.
Sarah worries about the issues this will cause Charity and Mack, but Charity is determined she will talk her husband round.
Mack gives Charity an ultimatum – the surrogacy, or their marriage.

Speaking to RadioTimes.com and other press, Atkins revealed that while Charity's relationship is on the rocks, Sarah and Jacob will get engaged!
"She confronts them on that and says 'are you sure you're not rushing into this because we think the embryo might have taken?' And then when they give their honest answer, 'no, we do love each other'. yeah, I think she's on board with it," she explained.
"It's so funny [with] this storyline; from one script to the next, we see it change so drastically and then change back.
"In real life, these things do present themselves in a way that, ethically, morally, all of these things, you're left wondering 'how am I gonna react to my partner, how am I gonna react to my support for Sarah?'" added Atkins.
"It changes from one minute to the next. Life is so not black and white."
