The shocking escape of killer Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) comes to a head in the latest episode of Coronation Street (Monday 14th July 2025).

With estranged wife Lou (Farrel Hegarty) locked up for her attack on Gary Windass (Mikey North), Mick was updated on the situation by her son Brody (Ryan Mulvey), who Mick had raised as his own.

Mick will break out of prison and become hellbent on going on the run with Brody, and daughters Joanie (Savanna Pennington) and Shanice (Molly Kilduff).

Brody is in on the plan, and tries to collect the girls from foster parents Sally (Sally Dynevor) and Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine), only to hear that Joanie is at a taster day at Weatherfield High.

When Brody tells Mick, Mick turns up at the school, but Sally has already picked Joanie up after the youngster is upset by the kids' comments about her parents.

Lou denies all knowledge when questioned about Mick's escape, while Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) and Mrs Crawshaw (Carla Mendonça) come face to face with Mick, who demands they hand Joanie over.

When Mick learns Joanie is gone, Mick locks the pair in the office and flees.

Sally is showing Joanie around the factory, and with Brody's biological father Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) made aware of Mick's disappearance, he soon catches up with his old enemy.

With strong performances from Dynevor and Pennington alongside Layton's compelling portrayal of vicious Mick, there's a tense edition ahead, and you can catch the full story now on ITVX or at 8pm on ITV1.

But with a violent showdown on the way, it's Kit who ends up in a critical condition as he undergoes life-saving surgery.

Brody is also missing, but has he left with Mick?

Will Mick get what he wants, and will Kit survive?
