3 Coronation Street icons lead legendary soap stars for live audience events – how to see them
The stars behind three classic Corrie characters are confirmed to appear.

Coronation Street has confirmed three big names for its upcoming stage show, An Audience with Coronation Street.
Hosted by scriptwriter and resident This Morning soap expert Sharon Marshall, the event will celebrate the legacy of the longest-running serial drama in the UK.
Legendary stars Barbara Knox, William Roache and Amanda Barrie will all appear as part of the special show.
Knox, who has played Rita Tanner for over 50 years, will be present for the London event, as well as the brand new matinee which will take place in Salford.
Rita has played a key role across Corrie's rich history, from witnessing the shocking death of abusive partner Alan Bradley (Mark Eden) to being injured by a tram in the 50th anniversary live episode.
In more recent times, Rita is on hand to provide a well-timed light-hearted moment among the drama, sharing an enduring bond with one-time foster daughter Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews).
Speaking about her involvement in the stage extravaganza, Knox shared: "I’ve always believed the magic of Coronation Street lives in the connection it has with its audience.

"After so many wonderful years on the cobbles, it feels very special and a little nerve-racking to be stepping out and sharing some of those memories face to face.
"I don’t often do things like this, but this show felt like the right moment to say thank you, and to celebrate everything Corrie has meant to all of us over the years."
Meanwhile, Roache, who is Corrie's longest-serving cast member having played Ken Barlow from the very first episode, will appear in the evening show in Salford, as well as Sunderland.
Ken's most recent storyline saw him poisoned by scheming Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney), but soft-hearted Ken opted not to press charges.
Roache said: "When I first stepped onto the street in 1960, I never imagined the journey it would become for me and for millions of viewers across the globe.

"Coronation Street has been a second home and its fans an extended family. To now have the chance to meet audiences in person, share stories, and reflect on such a remarkable legacy is a real privilege.
"I’m truly looking forward to celebrating this incredible show, and all the people who’ve made it what it is, both on screen and watching at home."
Finally, Amanda Barrie will be on hand to share stories from the cobbles in Sheffield and Glasgow.
Barrie played Alma Halliwell from 1981 until the character's tragic death from cancer in 2001, and has spoken about the viewers who still miss Alma.
"Returning to celebrate Coronation Street is like stepping back into a cherished chapter of my life. Alma was a character I loved deeply, and I still hear from fans who remember her with such fondness," said Barrie.

"The show’s heart has always been its people, on screen and off, and I’m so looking forward to sharing those memories with the audiences who made it all so special."
The news that these iconic stars will be joining an already packed cast for An Audience with Coronation Street is sure to delight loyal fans, with tickets selling out in record time.
Alongside the original dates, a special matinee performance has been added at The Lowry on 20th September, as well as an additional date at Sunderland Empire on 21st September.
While the recently-departed Sue Cleaver (who played Eileen Grimshaw) is now unable to appear, Chesney Winter-Brown star Sam Aston will take her place in London.
