The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3 release date confirmed – to end with season 4
Filming on the final episodes will commence this month.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has been renewed for a fourth and final season, ahead of the third chapter's much-anticipated premiere in the autumn.
The series is one of several spin-offs to have continued the legacy of the original zombie drama, focusing (as per the title) on Norman Reedus's fan-favourite anti-hero and his closest confidante Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride).
The show has quite literally expanded the world of The Walking Dead, picking up with the two characters in previously unseen European locations, giving fans an insight into how the zombie apocalypse unfolded outside of North America.
The unlikely duo have been attempting to make their way back home in their spin-off, but that journey has proven far from straightforward, with the latest detour taking them to Spain.
That's where Daryl Dixon season 3, which debuts in the US on AMC and AMC+ on Sunday 7th September 2025, will be set.
The UK release of the show's second season arrived shortly after its US debut on Sky Max and NOW, so here's hoping that will be the case for the upcoming instalment.
You can watch the tense and tantalising trailer below.
The upcoming fourth and final season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will be returning to Spain as its primary location, with production scheduled to commence this month (according to Variety).
With Daryl Dixon winding down, fellow spin-off The Walking Dead: Dead City – which follows Lauren Cohan's Maggie and Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Negan – may end up being the last torchbearer for the long-running post-apocalyptic franchise.
In a statement, Reedus said: "Daryl Dixon has been an incredible journey. I thank each and every fan who has joined us on this ride. It's been a privilege to build this story for these characters, and we have so much gratitude for how it's been embraced.

"Your love and support have made every moment worth it. This finale isn't just an ending; it's a celebration of what we've all shared together. Keep carrying that love forward – Daryl's journey is far from over."
Co-star Melissa McBride added: "It has been the thrill of a lifetime to shoot this part of Daryl and Carol's adventure together in Europe and I keep coming back for more of these two characters.
"There is still so much story left to tell and so much for the fans to look forward to. I'm going to revel in the moments as they come and am excited for the fans to see what we have been working on in these incredible locations."
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is available on Sky and NOW.
