For the last year Disney Plus has been the go-to place for revisiting animated classics, following the adventures of a certain Mandalorian and enjoying Marvel Studios' very first "sitcom" in WandaVision - and now a whole lot more more content from the House of Mouse's library is coming.

Star on Disney Plus is a new section of the streaming service that features films and series from Disney-owned properties such as FX, 20th Century Studios, and 20th Television, adding more mature content to the previously family-friendly service (complete with more parental controls).
It means some of the biggest US shows in recent memory are now available as part of your Disney+ subscription - including 24, Desperate Housewives and Atlanta, as well as hit movies such as Deadpool 2, Borat and films from the Die Hard and Planet of the Apes franchises.
Star doubles the already generous amount of content on Disney+, with the promise of more to come. The platform also has its own original series with Big Sky from Big Little Lies creator David E. Kelley as well as teen TV spin-off Love, Victor.
Not only that, but there are some exciting developments in the pipeline such as original UK content and local content for other European countries including France and Germany. Original programming will be coming to the service exclusively in Europe such as Only Murders in the Building, The Old Man starring Jeff Bridges and Dopesick starring Michael Keaton.
As you can see, much of the new content is hardly family-friendly. Worried parents can always check out our explainer on how to set the Disney+ parental controls.
More content will be coming too for established franchises with both X-Men: First Class and Logan joining the service later in the year and shows that already have a UK home, such as Grey's Anatomy, will see their latest seasons added once they have finished airing - just don't look for sports content being added like it has been elsewhere as Disney has confirmed that will not be happening any time soon.
