New Top Gear host Matt LeBlanc says he is interested in bringing Friends co-stars David Schwimmer and Courtney Cox onto the BBC2 motoring show.
LeBlanc tells this week’s Radio Times that he is hopeful of enticing them onto the revamped programme: “Yeah, who knows, down the road. [David] Schwimmer is into cars. After him it’s probably Courtney [Cox]. She’s a car nut, believe it or not. She’s forever asking me about cars and I’m forever talking her out of some rubbish she wants to buy.”
In the interview LeBlanc also reveals that he will be watching The Grand Tour, the rival Amazon car show to be fronted by former Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond in the autumn.
“I know it’s a big show but hey, we’re not cowboys, it’s all meticulously planned, permission granted, in writing. I didn’t fire those guys [Clarkson, Hammond and May]. I’ve met them. They’re nice guys. I’ll watch their new show.”
The revamped Top Gear premieres on Sunday.
