Last year the nation watched on as Carlos Gu and Karen Carney lifted the Glitterball trophy, but as well as marking a new reign for the champions, it also marked the last live show Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly hosted together.

But it wasn't long until Winkleman was back on our screens, with the fourth season of The Traitors airing at the start of the year and soon, the presenter will have her very own chat show on air in the spring before a second season of The Celebrity Traitors.

And casting is said to be underway for the BBC's second outing and out of last year's Strictly winners, there is one famous face who would jump at the chance to head to Ardross Castle and reunite with Claudia Winkleman.

Speaking exclusively at the Radio Times Covers Party 2026, Carlos Gu shared that The Traitors is one show he'd love to do, and he already has some experience as the stars usually play a version of the show during the Strictly tour.

"I think The Traitors is the number one show that I really want to do," Gu told RadioTimes.com. "And, yeah, I'm ready. I'm ready to meet Claudia once again and have some fun. It's a great show."

There have been rumours aplenty as to which celebrities could be headed to the Scottish Highlands this year, from pop icons to comedy greats, though the BBC are remaining tight-lipped on who will be in the cast.

Just some of the high profile names rumoured include Danny Dyer, Alison Hammond, Daisy May Cooper, Ruth Jones and Tom Hiddleston.

More recently, Cheryl Tweedy has reportedly been in talks for the second outing despite taking a step away from the public limelight, with a source claiming that the singer is taking "baby steps about returning".

And for Carlos, despite wanting to reunite with Winkleman in The Traitors castle, it isn't lost on him that Strictly will look ever so different this year, as new presenters will take over from Tess and Claudia.

"They are icons, both Claudia and Tess, they made Strictly," Gu added. "Strictly is successful because of them. It is going to be different, and it's going to be fine. And me and all of the cast we're looking forward to seeing who the new hosts going to be. So it's going to be exciting, I think."

The Celebrity Traitors season 1 is available to watch on BBC iPlayer now.
