Yellowstone spin-off series casts key role opposite returning star Luke Grimes
You may recognise this face from Sky's And Just Like That... or Netflix's Carry-On.

Upcoming Yellowstone spin-off Y: Marshals has added a recognisable face to its cast, as the upcoming Kayce Dutton-focused spin-off targets a premiere at the start of next year.
The series will pick up with Kayce (as played by original Yellowstone star Luke Grimes) as he takes on a new role in an elite unit of the US Marshals, which draws on "his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana".
The synopsis, courtesy of CBS, teases that "he and his teammates must balance family, duty and the high psychological cost that comes with serving as the last line of defence in the region's war on violence".
That team appears to have just grown by one, with Logan Marshall-Green (a fitting name) now confirmed for the new role of Pete Calvin – a fellow military veteran and a friend to Kayce (via The Hollywood Reporter).
Marshall-Green has popped up in a number of high-profile projects over the last decade or so, including Ridley Scott's Prometheus, Leigh Whannell's Upgrade and Taron Egerton thriller Carry-On, which was a major hit for Netflix last year.
Most recently, he's joined the cast of Sex and the City follow-up And Just Like That... for its third season, playing Seema's love interest, Adam, while he's also bagged a role in Christopher Nolan's upcoming blockbuster The Odyssey.
Rather than originating on Paramount Network or Paramount+, which co-hosted parent series Yellowstone, spin-off Y: Marshals will make its bow on mainstream American network CBS.

As a result, there is a good chance it will be formatted in a more procedural way than the original series, which told a longer-form serialised story about the Dutton ranch – such remains the default for most US network dramas.
Adding credence to this theory is the choice of showrunner, with franchise creator Taylor Sheridan stepping back to allow Spencer Hudnut to take the reins – a screenwriter best known for military drama SEAL Team.
Further casting will be announced in due course, while the show's UK broadcaster is still to be confirmed – we'll bring you more updates on the project as they come in.
Yellowstone is available to stream on Paramount+. Y: Marshals is coming soon.
