Line of Duty season 7 confirms new and returning cast members - including memorable Gavin & Stacey star
Mark Bonnar, Owen Teale, Perry Fitzpatrick and Christina Chong are all back.

As the start of filming on Line of Duty season 7 rapidly approaches, additional cast members have now been confirmed to join Adrian Dunbar, Vicky McClure, Martin Compston and Robert Carlyle.
This includes a host of returning stars, with Mark Bonnar back as former Deputy Chief Constable Mike Dryden, Owen Teale back as Chief Constable Philip Osborne, Perry Fitzpatrick back as DS Chris Lomax and Christina Chong back as DI Nicky Rogerson.
They are joined by newcomers including Tom Weston-Jones (Sanditon), who will play the pivotal role of Detective Inspector Dominic Gough. Gough leads Tactical Operations Unit 7 (TO-7) and has won plaudits for a string of organised crime takedowns; however, he is accused of abusing his position of trust to act as a sexual predator.
Meanwhile, Laura Aikman (Gavin & Stacey), Levi Brown (This Town) and Amy Leigh Hickman (You) will star as DC Paula Beckman, DC Luke Tobin and DC Nira Rashid respectively.

Also new to the cast are David Calder (Rivals), Steven Elder (Toxic Town), Dominic Mafham (Vigil), Sarah Andre White (What It Feels Like for a Girl), Aimee Powell (Believe Me) and Naomi Yang (Under Salt Marsh).
Upon the announcement of the additional cast members, Line of Duty creator Jed Mercurio said: "I'm honoured to be working with our brilliant new cast members, and I know the audience will be thrilled to see some much-loved old faces returning from previous seasons."
Meanwhile, Simon Heath, CEO and creative director of production company World Productions said: "We’re delighted to be able to welcome such a great new cast to join so many well-loved actors from the history of the show."

One star from the show's past who isn't included in the list of returnees is Shalom Brune-Franklin, who played DCI Chloe Bishop in season 6.
She previously spoke with Radio Times about a potential return, but said at the time: "I don’t know… I know nothing. I'm gonna plead the fifth, even though we're not in America. I'm gonna plead the fifth anyway."
