Darkly comic series following three career-driven friends as they attempt to deal with life's ups and downs. Starring Kerry Condon, Nina Sosanya and Eileen Walsh.
Quacks’ Tom Basden guests as Laura’s “first love”, a one-time musician who isn’t the man Laura remembers when they bump into one another by chance. They later have a deliciously uncomfortable “date” where he has a few things to get off his chest.
Sharon Horgan and Lorna Martin’s comedy has turned into an enormously likeable, considerably more funny and realistic version of Sex and the City. Laura, who can be hyper-annoying, actually starts to stand up for herself rather than being an habitual welcome mat for unsuitable men.
Her mates Katie (Nina Sosanya) and Alison (Eileen Walsh) aren’t simply plot ballast either, as the former deals with an over-eager boyfriend and the latter with her overbearing in-laws.
