At the time of writing, Rockstar Games has not confirmed whether or not GTA 6 will be getting a physical release, but recent leaks appear to suggest that there will not be a physical edition of the game.

Polish website PPE.pl has reported via leaker Graczdari, who correctly leaked the release dates of the Oblivion remaster, Switch 2 port of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and more, that there are currently no plans for a physical release.

Graczdari, who reportedly works in physical game sales for the European market, has confirmed that Rockstar parent company Take-Two Interactive has no plans for a physical edition of the game at launch.

That being said, when the physical edition will arrive is still very much up in the air, with different reports ranging from several weeks to several months.

PPE's report cites Graczdari as having said, "We're hearing more and more that the physical version won't be released simultaneously with the digital version to prevent leaks.

"We're getting conflicting reports: some say that the physical version with arrive three to four weeks after the digital release, while others say it won't happen until early 2027. More information will be available in mid-February."

So, while we don't know for sure what the situation is regarding a physical release for GTA 6, if leaks are to be believed, GTA 6 will launch as a digital-only title before receiving a physical release in the weeks and months after launch.
