As the last major content update before the new season, it might not be the biggest patch in the world, but that doesn't mean there isn't plenty to look forward to.

That means new cosmetics, returning items and more that we can expect once downtime ends.

So, without further ado, here's what's in the patch notes for today's Fortnite update!

Fortnite update today (5 March): What changes in the patch notes?

Today's Fortnite update introduces some new and returning cosmetics to the game – most notably, another crossover with Rick and Morty.

Teased with a short clip on Fortnite's social media, we can see that today's Item Shop will play host to the Rick Prime and Pickle Rick skins, as well as Squanchy and Mr Poopybutthole Sidekicks.

We are also reportedly getting a crossover with the new Pixar animation Hoppers, although it hasn't been confirmed what exactly this will add.

We're also going to see the return of some classic Fortnite items to the game, as another teaser on social media read: "OG classics make their return to Battle Royale!"

Again, we haven't seen any confirmation as to what these OG classics will be, exactly, but it refers to some iconic Fornite weapons being added back into the loot pool.

Beyond all this, it doesn't look like much else is coming in this update, likely because the team at Epic Games is hard at work preparing for the launch of Chapter 7 Season 2 in a couple of weeks.

Fingers crossed, we might get a bit more news about The Visitor's upcoming return to The Seven as part of next season's story and the next Live Event.
