Bridgerton favourite confirmed to join The Devil Wears Prada 2 as full cast is unveiled
A whole host of new faces will be joining Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt in the sequel.

Simone Ashley has been added to the cast for the upcoming Devil Wears Prada 2 – with the Bridgerton star set to join original stars Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci in the hotly anticipated sequel, according to Deadline.
As yet, no character details have been revealed for Ashley's role in the film, but she joins a slew of other big names who have recently been confirmed for the ensemble.
According to a report in Variety, there will also be roles for Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, BJ Novak and Pauline Chalamet, while it was earlier revealed that Kenneth Branagh would be playing the husband of Streep's character Miranda Priestly.
Meanwhile, Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman are both set to reprise their roles from the original as Lily and Irv Ravitz respectively, but there is no room for Adrian Grenier – with Entertainment Weekly reporting that he won't be back as Nate Cooper.
It first emerged that Disney was developing a follow-up to the original 2006 film last year, and this May it was confirmed that the sequel had been dated for release on 1st May 2026.
The original was based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel and follows Andrea (Hathaway) as she lands a job working for Miranda Priestly (Streep), the Anna Wintour-esque editor of a major New York fashion magazine.

The film was a huge commercial hit upon release and earned Streep an Oscar nomination, with its stature having only grown since then as it remains a popular favourite on streaming.
Previous reports have suggested that the sequel will see Miranda, still editor-in-chief of Runway Magazine but facing the decline of the traditional publishing industry, as she faces off against her former assistant Emily (Blunt), who is now a powerful executive at a luxury brand.
In addition to her role as Kate in Bridgerton, Ashley's previous credits have included Sex Education and the Prime Video film Picture This, while she recently had a planned role in F1 the Movie cut from the final film – although director Joseph Kosinski said he "would love to work with her again".
The Devil Wears Prada 2 will be released on 1st May 2026.
