With Rachel and Stephen's sweet victory secured, The Traitors season 4 finale proved once again that this show is pure theatre.

How lucky then, that we now have the announcement of a new on-stage production coming to London in 2027.

The Traitors on Stage is preparing to hit the West End next year, through the efforts of Studio Lambert and Neal Street Productions. The show will be written by Good Omens writer John Finnemore and Olivier award-winning director Robert Hastie (Operation Mincemeat).

In the announcement, Stephen Lambert, CEO of Studio Lambert, said: “Taking The Traitors from screen to stage is a hugely exciting next step for this much-loved brand. Partnering with Neal Street Productions, a true theatrical powerhouse, allows us to reimagine the show as a bold and surprising theatrical performance.

"Faithful fans should expect an intense, joyful night out as we reveal a thrilling new hunting ground for our Traitors."

Meanwhile Caro Newling, co-founder of Neal Street Productions, said: “In developing The Traitors for the stage, Neal Street and Studio Lambert have curated a team of brilliant faithful theatre-makers led by director Rob Hastie and writer John Finnemore to bring a bold, structural twist to the format that only the live medium can provide.”

This is of course not the first time a reality show has become an on-stage hit. Great British Bake Off the Musical was a sell-out success in 2023 so we can't see why The Traitors should be any different.

THE TRAITORS ON STAGE (4)

The Traitors finale this year was a huge ratings hit for the BBC pulling in a live audience of 9.4 million viewers, peaking with 9.6 million, according to official UK viewing figures supplied by overnights.tv (per Deadline).

This has only been surpassed by the celebrity version, the final of which averaged 11.1 million in the overnight ratings, with a peak audience of 12 million.

We don't yet have any indication on dates or which theatre the show will appear in, but we'll be sure to keep you updated.
