Former stars of the show have lined up to celebrate the arrival of the first female Doctor

Jodie Whittaker may be reassuring Doctor Who fans that they have nothing to fear with a woman at the helm of the Tardis but she need not fear any backlash from the Whovian acting family because former stars of the show are already celebrating her casting.
Peter Capaldi has already given his successor the seal of approval and former Doctor Colin Baker was one of the first to share his utter joy online, celebrating the BBC’s decision to allow the Doctor to “embrace her feminine side” and shutting down critics while he was at it.
