Good Omens season 3 release date confirmed after 3-year break from screens
There's not long to wait...

It's been a long time coming, but Good Omens season 3 finally has a release date.
The finale episode of the fantasy series, which follows David Tennant's demon Crowley and Michael Sheen's angel Aziraphale as they team up to end the incoming apocalypse, will arrive on Prime Video on 13 May, almost three years after season 2 aired.
The news was confirmed after days of teasing from the Good Omens social media team, with a short teaser showing the crew getting Aziraphale's bookshop ready for action, with the sign on the door being changed from 'Closed' to 'Open'.
Last season left us with plenty of unanswered questions, with Aziraphale and Crowley finally admitting their feelings and sharing a kiss before going their separate ways.
Plot details about the finale have been thin on the ground, but Sheen recently gave a tease on X, saying: "There’ll be bits you absolutely love and there’ll be things you’ll argue about of course. It should have been 6 episodes but it’s not.
"Thank God for what it is. Brilliantly directed, beautiful performances, fantastic new looks, incredible work all round. And there’s nightingales."

As he mentioned, the finale episode will have just 90 minutes to wrap things up, after the season was shortened.
Neil Gaiman, co-author of Good Omens, exited the TV series after he was accused of sexual assault, which he has strongly denied. He contributed to writing the Good Omens finale but he did not work on the production and his production company Blank Corporation was not involved.
A total of nine women have spoken out against the writer, with their accusations being detailed in a Vulture article published in January 2025, and in a Tortoise Media podcast released in July 2024.
Allegations included claims that Gaiman engaged them in "rough" sex and BDSM without their consent. The novelist has firmly denied any non-consensual or illegal conduct in a statement.
He said: "As I read through this latest collection of accounts, there are moments I half-recognise and moments I don't, descriptions of things that happened sitting beside things that emphatically did not happen.
"I'm far from a perfect person, but I have never engaged in non-consensual sexual activity with anyone. Ever."
Good Omens season 3 will arrive on Prime Video on 13 May 2026.
