The Sylvester Stallone-led Paramount Plus series will be returning to our screens on Sunday 21st September, with new episodes set to land on the streamer weekly.

The series has continued to prove to be yet another Taylor Sheridan standout for Paramount Plus, with this new season set to notch up the drama and pave the way for the show's first ever spin-off, NOLA King.

The star of that series will be none other than Samuel L Jackson, who will be joining proceedings for Tulsa King season 3 as Russell Lee Washington Jr, who will eventually make the move from Tulsa to New Orleans for his own series.

As for Tulsa King's third outing, Stallone's Dwight 'The General' Manfredi will see his empire continue to expand, but "so do his enemies and the risks to his crew," the synopsis states.

It continues: "Now, he faces his most dangerous adversaries in Tulsa yet: the Dunmires, a powerful old-money family that doesn’t play by old-world rules, forcing Dwight to fight for everything he’s built and protect his family."

As well as Stallone returning to helm the series, the third season will also star Martin Starr, Jay Will, Annabella Sciorra, Neal McDonough, Robert Patrick, Beau Knapp and Bella Heathcote.

Chris Caldovino, McKenna Quigley Harrington, Mike "Cash Flo" Walden, Kevin Pollak, Vincent Piazza, Frank Grillo, Michael Beach, James Russo, Garrett Hedlund and Dana Delany also round out the cast.

It was previously announced that Jackson would be leading his own spin-off series, with his character coming from the same crime world as Stallone's Dwight. However, as previously reported, "he will go against Dwight in Tulsa before heading down to take over New Orleans".

While a release date for NOLA King hasn't yet been revealed, the official synopsis for the series reads: "NOLA King follows Russell Lee Washington Jr (Jackson), who, after befriending Dwight Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone) during a 10-year stint in federal prison, is sent to Tulsa by New York’s Renzetti crime family to take Dwight out once and for all.

"Inspired by what Dwight created in Tulsa and impressed with the possibilities of second chances, Washington returns to New Orleans, the home he abandoned 40 years ago, to rekindle his relationship with his family, friends, and to take control of the city he left behind.

"In so doing, he incurs the wrath of his former employers in New York, and makes himself vulnerable to old NOLA foes, both criminal and cop."

We'll be a little way away from NOLA King, with filming set to kick off in 2026 and so for now, can remain excited about Jackson's inclusion in Tulsa King season 3 and all the drama that's set to unfold in September.
