Paradise producer hints that series will end with third season as season 2 premieres
"We know what the end is."

Paradise producer John Hoberg has said that the post-apocalyptic survival drama isn’t likely to go beyond three seasons.
The hit Hulu series, which debuted the first three episodes of season 2 earlier this week, is yet to be officially confirmed for a third season.
But speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about season 2, Hoberg teased a potential third season – and also revealed that Paradise is approaching its end game.
"Yes, there are people left out from getting their flashbacks," he said. "In season 3, which we’re already breaking – we’re breaking episode 7 right now and we know where it ends [with 8]; we know what episode 8 is – everybody gets their due. I will say that."
He continued: "There’s only so much real estate and the story really dictates. I personally want to know more about Robinson’s (Krys Marshall) backstory, and we’ll get that, along with other characters. Everyone will have a moment, but it’s when they come to significance in the grander story when we made those decisions.
"We know what the end is, and it’s an end that would make it very difficult to make a season 4 come afterward."
Hoberg's comments echo those of creator Dan Fogelman, who previously explained that a three-season vision had always been the plan for the series.
“It’s going to be a three-season show,” Fogelman told The Hollywood Reporter back in January 2025. “I know where it goes. I know what the shape of each season is... I didn’t have it all mapped out when I wrote it, but by the time people got the first script, I knew where it was going to go.”
Paradise stars Sterling K Brown as Xavier Collins, a Secret Service agent living in an underground bunker in the aftermath of a major natural disaster, which has wiped out civilisation on the Earth’s surface.
Season 2 sees Collins venture into the outside world for the first time in the hopes of finding his long-lost wife, Teri.

The first three episodes of Paradise season 2 are streaming exclusively on Disney+, with new episodes available weekly – you can sign up to Disney+ now.
