Monster season 4 confirms daughter of Hollywood legends cast as the iconic Lizzie Borden
Ella Beatty will play Lizzie Borden, who was tried and acquitted of the axe murders of her father and stepmother.

Before the third season of Ryan Murphy's Monster anthology has even debuted, we now have some big casting news regarding the show's fourth season, which will be focused on the case of Lizzie Borden.
Ella Beatty, the daughter of Annette Bening and Warren Beatty and star of Murphy's previous series Feud: Capote vs the Swans, will play the central role of Borden, while Rebecca Hall and Vicky Krieps will play supporting roles
Netflix has confirmed the castings, which were first reported by Deadline, with that publication stating that Hall will play Borden's stepmother and Krieps will play a maid.
While few other details are known about season 4, Lizzie Borden was tried and acquitted of the axe murders of her father and stepmother in 1892.

Nobody else was charged with the murders, meaning Borden was ostracised by her local community in Fall River, Massachusetts.
The story was most recently adapted as a 2018 film called Lizzie, which starred Chloë Sevigny as Borden and Kristen Stewart as Bridget Sullivan, the Bordens' live-in maid.
Monster season 1 told the story surrounding Jeffrey Dahmer, while season 2 focused on the Lyle and Erik Menendez case.
Season 3, which is expected to release this year, will star Charlie Hunnam as Ed Gein, an American murderer and suspected serial killer.
Speaking to Collider, Murphy previously said of season 3: "After we did Menendez, Ian and I were talking about it, and we were interested in this idea of, 'Where did our cultural interest in serial killers begin? Where and how did this all start?'
"Based on our research, the very first one who became a celebrity at that level was Ed, who was an instant crazy celebrity from the moment he was arrested. Nobody had ever heard of anything like that."
Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story is now streaming on Netflix – sign up for Netflix from £5.99 a month. Netflix is also available on Sky Glass and Virgin Media Stream.
