If you're wondering how long Resident Evil Requiem takes to beat, then you're far from the only one.

Like any RE game, Requiem has plenty to do, and between tough bosses and tricky puzzles, you could spend ages trudging through it all.

Of course, once you have the best weapons and all the safe codes, you'll probably be flying through it.

But whether you're an average player, completionist or speedster, here's how long it takes to beat Resident Evil Requiem.

How long is Resident Evil Requiem? Hours needed to beat the game explained

An average playthrough of Resident Evil Requiem will take roughly 12-14 hours.

This length assumes that, as well as completing the main story, you take some time to explore the levels, looking for secrets and extra gear.

For reference, that's just a bit longer than Resident Evil Village, excluding all of that game's DLC.

If you're looking for a completionist playthrough in which you collect everything, including every achievement, then you're looking at a minimum of 20 hours, potentially including multiple playthroughs.

That could go even higher if you're struggling with certain challenges, such as beating the game on Insanity difficulty, though repeat playthroughs in 'new game plus' offer better weapons and tools to help you rush through faster.

On the flip side, a player looking to simply complete the main story and nothing else can probably finish things up with 9-10 hours.

At the very extreme minimum, you can beat the game in under four hours, which has its own dedicated achievement, but it's probably quite unlikely that many people are going to be aiming for this on their first playthrough.

So to recap, that's 12-14 hours for an average playthrough, 20+ hours for a completionist playthrough, and 9-10 for a fast one, unless you're aiming for that under-four-hour achievement like a madman.
