28 Years Later x Fortnite: Release date speculation and what to expect

It's almost time for 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple to release, and to celebrate, the film appears to be getting its own Fortnite collaboration.

There's still time to catch up on 28 Years Later before the sequel arrives, but why would you do that when you could just experience it in Fortnite?

Fortnite is no stranger to movie crossovers, though this is one of the more unexpected ones, with the 28 Days Later series typically being quite a serious affair.

But not too serious for Fortnite, it would seem! So, when could the 28 Years Later x Fortnite collab release, and what can we expect from it? Here's what you need to know.

28 Years Later x Fortnite release date speculation

The 28 Years Later x Fortnite collaboration is expected to release on 13th January 2025.

This information comes from Fortnite leaker Adira on X, who appears to be a credible leaker, although we cannot guarantee this, so take this information with a grain of salt.

The collab will reportedly be added with the next Fortnite Item Shop update, at around midnight GMT, meaning if you're in the Americas, the collab will likely arrive on the evening of 12th January instead.

What to expect from the 28 Years Later x Fortnite collab

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like any skins will be added to the game as part of this update, as much as we would have loved to see Ralph Fiennes in Fortnite.

According to original leaker Adira, the update will only include a Back Bling and Pickaxe.

At the moment, we don't know what these items will look like, but we estimate that the Pickaxe will cost around 800 V-Bucks, while the Back Bling will cost around 300 V-Bucks.
