With the first episodes going live in October 2025, Dispatch fast proved itself to be one of the best games of last year; however, it was only limited to PC and PlayStation 5, and so we’ll be looking at when the Dispatch Nintendo Switch release date is.

With a brilliant cast featuring the likes of Aaron Paul and a great story, we reckoned Dispatch was the perfect game to play over the Christmas break, owing to it being more like a TV series presented in bite-sized chunks.

With how good the game is, it perhaps shouldn’t have come as any sort of surprise that the game exceeded three million units sold. With such success, though, the question remains if there will be a Dispatch Season 2, and if Dispatch will come to Xbox.

But you don’t need to worry about any of that just now, as you have the whole first game to look forward to! Read on to find out the Dispatch Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 release date!

The Dispatch Nintendo Switch release date is 28th January 2026.

This is for both the original Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2.

Unlike the launch on PC and PS5, the full game will be available at launch, rather than coming out in an episodic format.

Currently, it appears that there is no physical release for Dispatch, with the Nintendo eShop being the only place to buy the Switch or Switch 2 Edition. There is a 10% discount for pre-orders, so you might want to act fast if you are keen on picking it up!

Dispatch on Switch versus Switch 2: Platform differences explained

The Nintendo Switch 2 edition features a higher resolution and framerate.

This means that your experience playing it should be a bit smoother. That being said, the action of the game means you don’t need to be running it at 120 FPS, so OG Switch owners really shouldn’t miss out on too much!

If you buy it for the original Switch and then pick up a Switch 2 at a later date, upgrading it to the Switch 2 version is free, as confirmed by developers AdHoc Studio on X (formerly Twitter).
