It's customary that Ranked Play hasn't been available at launch in recent Call of Duty games, but it's finally time to dust off that control (or keyboard and mouse).
With that, the Call of Duty League will soon kickoff, with the Major II Tournament taking place in march at Dreamhack in Birmingham.
Ranked Play is your opportunity to break into the world of competitive Call of Duty esports, as you you will be playing by the same rules.
But as for CoD BO7 Ranked Play and all it entails, read on!
CoD BO7 Ranked Play release date

CoD BO7 Ranked Play will arrive on 5th February 2026 with the launch of Season 2.
This has been the case with the last couple of CoD titles, although they have typically launched a bit earlier, in January instead of February.
While this is the currently confirmed release date, it may end up getting pushed back slightly if the developers need more time to fine tune everything, so that the launch goes smoothly.

CoD BO7 Ranked Play explained
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Ranked Play is described as having the " same rules, modes, maps, and Loadout restrictions as the Call of Duty League", meaning you can expect 4x4 matches, ranks, leaderboards and certain restrictions on weapons.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Ranked play is comprised of three modes: Search & Destroy, Overload and Hardpoint, and these have their own set of maps to play.
To get your starting rank, you need to win three Placement Matches. As you compete, you will earn SR (Skill Rating), which will help progress your rank.
In order to qualify for BO7 Ranked Play, you need to have 50 wins in Matchmade Multiplayer to ensure that you are a legitimate player and not some griefer looking to cause bother for folks.
