Heated Rivalry star and Dirty Dancing icon join new crime drama depicting "Gen Z’s own Bonnie & Clyde"
The cast is being led by Julia Garner and Anthony Boyle.

Netflix has announced new additions to the cast of The Altruists, with Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams and Dirty Dancing icon Jennifer Grey among the new players.
The eight-part limited series, which is being led by Julia Garner and Anthony Boyle, will tell the story of the rise and fall of cryptocurrency platform FTX.
Williams, who recently shot to fame thanks to the hockey drama Heated Rivalry, will star as Duncan Rheingans‑Yoo.
Grey, meanwhile, who found success in the mid-80s with her role as Frances 'Baby' Houseman in the hit Dirty Dancing, will play Sarah Fisher Ellison.
Alongside Williams and Grey, other new additions to the cast include Terry Chen (Almost Famous) as CZ, Elizabeth Adams (Wayward) as Hannah, Hannah Galway (The Institute) as Lucy, and William Mapother (Lost) as Dr. Lerner.
According to Deadline, the show’s official logline reads: "The story of Sam Bankman-Fried and Caroline Ellison, two hyper-smart, ambitious young idealists who tried to remake the global financial system in the blink of an eye - before they were accused of stealing $8 billion and became Gen Z’s own Bonnie & Clyde."
Garner and Boyle will play Catherine Ellison and Sam Bankman-Fried, respectively. Garner will also executive produce the series alongside Graham Moore and Jacqueline Hoyt.
Moore and Hoyt will also serve as co-showrunners, while James Ponsoldt (The Spectacular Now) will direct the pilot episode.

Heated Rivalry follows two rival and closeted NHL superstars – Canadian Shane Hollander (Williams) and Russian Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie) – who embark on a romance.
Following its debut on HBO Max in the US last November and on Sky in January in the UK, the series became a worldwide hit and was widely hailed for its positive representation of LGBTQ+ athletes.
Grey recently appeared in Jesse Eisenberg's A New Pain, and is also set to reprise her Dirty Dancing role in an upcoming sequel, production on which is set to begin later in 2026.
