Abi Webster (Sally Carman-Duttine) gives in to temptation with brother-in-law Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) after weeks of tension next week, and it's Kevin Webster's (Michael Le Vell) actions that spur her on!

Elsewhere, Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) risks her job again in the name of getting to the truth - unaware that her partner Carla Connor (Alison King) is conducting her own investigation.

We're worried for Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) as his boyfriend Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) becomes more sinister by the week.

Also, Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) takes action against devious cousin Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner).

Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) and Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) worry that their scheme is about to be rumbled, and what does the future hold for James Bailey (Jason Callender)?

1. Abi Webster starts an affair with Carl Webster

Abi berates Carl for causing trouble, and he fights the urge to tell her that Kevin is lying about his cancer.

But when stressed Abi tells Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) that she's planning on telling son Jack (Kyran Bowes) about Kev's treatment not working, Ty assures her Kevin is actually fine.

Abi confronts Kevin, who apologises and admits he thought lying about his cancer would stop her leaving him for Carl.

Abi can't bear to look at Kev, leaving the house and heading straight into Carl's arms.

Abi insists she's done with Kevin as she and Carl kiss passionately, but it appears her decision isn't set in stone.

Soon, Abi is painting on a smile for Jack's sake, and Carl doubles down and tells Abi she's doing the right thing staying with Kevin, so it's best they keep their distance.

Kevin sacks Carl, saying he can't trust him any more, and Carl agrees to make a fresh start elsewhere.

When Kev updates Abi, she's secretly gutted, and Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) tries to convince Carl to stay.

What will he do, and is this really the end of his affair with Abi?

2. Lisa Swain goes rogue as Carla Connor makes a secret prison visit

Lisa admits she skipped her therapy session, visiting late wife Becky's grave instead as tomorrow would have been their anniversary.

On the day in question, Lisa struggles, but dismisses Carla and Betsy Swain's (Sydney Martin) worries and attends therapy, making a breakthrough.

Lisa tells therapist Floyd that she wonders if there was more to Becky's death that meets the eye, and whether Becky was corrupt.

Later, Lisa sneaks into DI Costello's office and searches his email for any reference to Becky Swain, but Lisa is furious when she sees Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) has been asking for access to Becky's file.

Meanwhile, Carla secretly visits Logan Radcliffe (Harry Lowbridge) in jail, hoping to extract information on Becky.

When Lisa tells Carla she can't work with Kit as he went behind her back, will Carla admit she has also been deceitful?

3. Theo Silverton turns manipulator after violent attack

Todd and Theo's plan to view a flat is ruined when the car breaks down, but that's the least of their worries.

Todd reluctantly attends a restorative justice session with Noah Hedley (Richard Winsor), but he leaves in a hurry when finished, having tired of Noah's goading.

Forgetting his jacket, Todd returns in time to hear Noah on the phone to Danielle Silverton (Natalie Anderson), Theo's estranged wife, and realises they are an item.

With Danielle appearing at the Bistro with the kids, Todd reveals to Theo that Noah is Danielle's new boyfriend.

Theo's son Miles tries to punch Todd, but when Theo blocks him, he accidentally strikes Miles and is horrified.

Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) advises Todd to try and smooth the waters with Danielle, who has banned Theo from seeing the kids.

Todd implores Danielle to have a change of heart, but Theo is furious that Todd has been taking Billy's advise over Theo's problems.

When Billy calls round to make amends, Theo is cold towards him and makes out Todd is in the shower.

But as Todd emerges, oblivious to Theo's lies, where is this storyline going for Todd?

4. Sam Blakeman takes revenge on cousin Lily Platt

Lily and Sam attend Eco club, and Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and Toyah Habeeb (Georgia Taylor) are pleased to think the pair have buried the hatchet after Lily locked Sam out of a classroom during a terrifying day at school.

But Sam scoffs at Lily's poster and tells her there have been six burglaries in the area, and the thieves always move the furniture around.

Lily returns home to find the door ajar, and screams in terror to find the furniture has been moved.

Is this Sam's doing?

By the end of the week, Sam opens up to Toyah about his anxiety and panic attacks.

Will Sam be able to overcome his trauma?

5. Bernie Winter and Aadi Alahan's plan is foiled

Bernie and Dev are due to be married. ITV

Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) reveals that Aunty Rani is coming to the wedding, and she'll want to see her money put to good use.

Bernie and Aadi mask their unease, and we know they're hiding a secret from Dev – Aadi faked the shop's robbery in order to claim on the insurance, as the business is in debt.

Worse still, Aadi missed the insurance payments, so they won't be getting the money!

It certainly seems like Bernie and Aadi are hoping to use Aunty Rani's donation to solve the problem as they try to keep the cost of the wedding down.

Oblivious Dev asks Aadi to be his best man, but his mood changes when Rani arrives earlier than planned.

Bernie adopts a posh accent to try and impress Rani, but when Rani explains how she will keep tabs on wedding expenses, Bernie and Aadi are thrown into fresh panic.

What will they do next?

6. Will James Bailey exit with baby Laila amid Dee-Dee clash?

James wants to adopt niece Laila. ITV

The facilitator arrives for the meeting about the Special Guardianship Order for baby Laila, but James worries about whether conflicted Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) will show up.

The next morning, Ed Bailey (Trevor Michael Georges) sits the family down to clear the air.

While looking after Laila, James takes a call and confirms he's still interested in a job.

Is he about to leave, and will he be taking Laila with him?

Soon, we see Dee-Dee head to work, leaving Laila in James's capable hands.

Dee-Dee is introduced to new client Ollie, who turns out to be the man she recently shared a flirtation with.

Dee-Dee can't help smiling, but has Laila's future been decided?

And will James be sticking around?
