The series first aired on CBS from 2011 to 2016, and followed mysterious billionaire computer programmer Harold Finch (Michael Emerson), who developes a computer programme capable of collecting all sources of information to predict terrorist acts and to identify people planning them.

Finch hires former CIA operative John Reese (Jim Caviezel) to be his field agent to help stop everyday murders, alongside a former NYPD detective Lionel Fusco (Kevin Chapman) and an ex-US army lieutenant Joss Carter (Taraji P Henson).

Alongside Emerson and Caviezel, the series also starred the likes of Amy Acker (Angel), Sarah Shahi (Paradise), Sterling K Brown (This Is Us), Carrie Preston (The Good Wife), Winston Duke (Black Panther) and Leslie Odom Jr (Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery).

Person of Interest was created by Jonathan Nolan, younger brother to Christopher Nolan, who went on to make Westworld, a dystopian science fiction Western drama.

The series was well received during its run and currently holds a 92 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with all seasons bar the first receiving a full 100 per cent fresh rating.

Nolan reunited with Emerson on Fallout (Nolan is an executive producer and director on the Prime Video series), and previously gushed on what it was like to work with him once more.

"It was my 104th episode of television working with Michael, which I'm very proud to say," Nolan told Screen Rant.

"When you find someone as talented and as lovely a human being as Michael, you're always looking for another opportunity to work together, so I was absolutely thrilled that he was excited and interested to come back."

Person of Interest is available to stream now on Netflix. Sign up for Netflix from £5.99 a month. Netflix is also available on Sky Glass and Virgin Media Stream.
