The high stakes reality series has certainly had the nation talking in recent weeks, with the fourth season of the UK series throwing in all kinds of twists to keep the players and viewers alike on their toes.

The Irish edition aired on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player towards the end of last summer, but there were no details as to when UK audiences could expect it tune in, until now.

The BBC programmes website has listed The Traitors Ireland to air at midnight on Saturday 24th January on BBC One, followed immediately by the second episode an hour later.

This will be hours after the winner of The Traitors UK season 4 is crowned.

The synopsis teases: "Twenty-four players face off in Ireland's ultimate murder mystery game."

The series is hosted by actress and comedian Siobhán McSweeney, who oversees 24 players as they attempt to win €50,000 without getting murdered or banished, all while the Traitors walk among them, trying to get their hands on the money instead.

As ever, the group of players embark on missions as they work together to add more money to the prize pot. For those who survive to the end, they have the chance of winning a life-changing sum, but if a Traitor remains undetected, they'll be able to steal all the money.

There is currently a whole host of Traitors content available to watch in the UK already, with seasons from the US, New Zealand and Australia available on BBC iPlayer right now.
The Traitors Ireland will air on BBC One on Saturday 24th January.
