ICYMI: 20 TV shows celebs were obsessed with last year – have you watched them all?
What have Domhnall Gleeson, Mark Gatiss and Suranne Jones been watching? Find out here!

What do you have in common with celebs like Sterling K Brown, Ashley Walters, Timothy Spall and Suranne Jones? Beyond the fact they all presumably eat, sleep and carry out other bodily functions, it could be that you watch the same TV!
Last year, Radio Times magazine spoke to a whole host of big names from the world of TV and film, and found out just what they themselves had been streaming throughout 2025.
Of course, there were the big hitters - shows like The Bear, Baby Reindeer, Adolescence and Severance certainly didn't pass the entertainment world by.
However, there were also lesser-known highlights such as Out There, Mr Inbetween and Shifty, all of which are available to stream now in the UK, and most of which are available in the US too.
So, do you have the same taste in TV as Sam Claflin or Millie Gibson? There's only one way to find out...
Read on for the full list of 20 celebrities, and to see what they had to say about what they were enjoying watching on streaming last year - and to see how many you've seen yourself!
1. Lenny Henry: Out There

"I’ve been watching Out There. Martin Clunes is great in it – he’s got such gravitas in that role. I really believe him as a dad trying to steer his kid and figuring out what to do with these problems that we all as parents are worried about. It’s great to see Martin giving it full draw barrel shotgun!"
- Where to watch in the UK: ITVX
- Where to watch in the US: N/A
2. Steven Moffat: Mr Inbetween
"I’ve been watching two Australian shows recently. One is Colin from Accounts and the other is a crime drama, Mr Inbetween. I love it. I’ve also just started watching Severance and like everyone else, I’ve been loving The Traitors…"
- Where to watch in the UK: Disney+
- Where to watch in the US: Hulu
3. Marianne Jean-Baptiste: The Bear
"This is so boring, but I loved The Bear. It had good acting, and a good script. I love cooking and enjoy the documentary series Chef’s Table on Netflix, too."
- Where to watch in the UK: Disney+
- Where to watch in the US: Hulu
4. Sterling K Brown: Baby Reindeer
"Baby Reindeer on Netflix is a hoot. I guess that's not the right term, because of that episode… so it’s maybe not a hoot, but boy, is it good television."
- Where to watch in the UK: Netflix
- Where to watch in the US: Netflix
5. Antoni Porowski: Cunk on Life

"I started watching Cunk on Life. I'm a big fan of Philomena Cunk. She's a national treasure. We must protect her at all costs. Cunk on Earth is one of the greatest shows ever. I’ve also started the new season of Severance, but I had to go back and watch season 1 because I got confused and forgot what happened!"
- Where to watch in the UK: BBC iPlayer and Netflix
- Where to watch in the US: Netflix
6. Tom Kerridge: Squid Game
"I’m about to start watching the second season of Squid Game. I loved the first season and thought it was something we hadn’t seen before. I’d be really bad at the games - I’d have gone out at the very beginning in Red Light, Green Light."
- Where to watch in the UK: Netflix
- Where to watch in the US: Netflix
7. Ed Gamble: Hacks
"I’ve just finished the third season of Hacks. I’d waited two years for it to air in the UK, checking online every week to find out when it was going to come here, and then I watched it all in two days. It’s one of my favourite comedy series of the last five years."
- Where to watch in the UK: Sky, NOW and Prime Video
- Where to watch in the US: HBO Max
8. Ashley Walters: Paradise
"I binged through Paradise in a couple of days. I'm a big fan of Sterling K Brown. He got me on This Is Us. I tried not to watch that show, but my wife forced me to and then I was obsessed with it. I feel like Paradise has got elements of that, but also 24 as well. It’s an amazing show."
- Where to watch in the UK: Disney+
- Where to watch in the US: Hulu
9. Tony Blackburn: Adolescence
"Adolescence on Netflix is one of the best things I’ve ever seen. I think it’s absolutely terrific. I do like a good drama. Although the panel show Would I Lie to You? is one of my favourite programmes."
- Where to watch in the UK: Netflix
- Where to watch in the US: Netflix
10. Christopher Chung: Amandaland

"I recently enjoyed Amandaland. It's really difficult to take something that's as iconic as Motherland, make a spin-off of it and make it just as good, if not better. But it was such a good continuation – and Lucy Punch is just phenomenally funny as Amanda."
- Where to watch in the UK: BBC iPlayer and Sky
- Where to watch in the US: N/A
11. Timothy Spall: Colin from Accounts
"What I really loved and thought was fantastic recently was Colin from Accounts. I’m so impressed by how they managed to get so much out of that simple idea. It’s a show that’s so funny and original.
"Also, I get constant pleasure from Flog It!. I wish they’d make more episodes. I’ve seen it so many times, I know exactly how much everything’s going to go for – usually between £80 and £120. I really enjoy it. It’s like putting a favourite record on. I’m not going to start a campaign to get them to do it again, but… why not? Please, in a quiet moment, in a weak moment, do have a reconsider to get it back on TV…"
- Where to watch in the UK: BBC iPlayer and Sky
- Where to watch in the US: Paramount+ and Fubo
12. Sam Ryder: MobLand
"I'm watching MobLand, which is fantastic. On screen, I love unnecessary violence, I can't get enough of brainless smash and grab stuff. And I've just finished 1923, the spin-off from Yellowstone. I love the Wild West, and I used to watch all the old Westerns with my granddad. I also rewatch Battlestar Galactica every year."
- Where to watch in the UK: Paramount+
- Where to watch in the US: Paramount+
13. Will Sharpe: Shifty
"I’m really enjoying Shifty, the new Adam Curtis documentary series. Some of the edits are extraordinary – by turns moving, and very funny. And so specific. But it’s taking me a while to get used to the fact it doesn’t have a voiceover because for me, his voice has always been such a part of the language of his films."
- Where to watch in the UK: BBC iPlayer and Sky
- Where to watch in the US: N/A
14. Mark Gatiss: The Residence

"I love The Residence. It’s very clever because they set up an awful lot early on, and it does pay off. It’s quite a high wire act. Each episode focuses on one suspect - and each is named after another murder mystery, which is delightful – and the denouement in the final episode is about an hour long – but all I can think about is the people at the back who don’t even get a line!"
- Where to watch in the UK: Netflix
- Where to watch in the US: Netflix
15. Lauren Lyle: The Handmaid’s Tale
"I’m really enjoying the final season of The Handmaid’s Tale. I love the terror and intensity of it all. When I started watching it, I used to lie at home and have panics that I was going to get taken away. It felt so real and visceral. I think I get quite immersed!"
- Where to watch in the UK: Prime Video
- Where to watch in the US: Hulu
16. Anthony Scaramucci: Your Friends and Neighbours
"The new Jon Hamm show Your Friends and Neighbours is so funny. I know Jon, and he’s a lovely, down-to-earth guy… but the son of a b**** is so handsome. Way better looking than he is on screen. The show is an exaggerated stereotype of life in Hamptons which, as a resident myself, makes it fun to watch."
- Where to watch in the UK: Apple TV
- Where to watch in the US: Apple TV
17. Sam Claflin: Severance
"I recently finished Severance, which is amazing. Great writing, great direction, and the concept is so unique and interesting. It’s a bit like The Truman Show, in that you think: ‘Are we actually not that far away from this being a reality?’ The performances across the board are incredible, and the setting is scarily clinical. When they’re walking those corridors, it’s hard to know how big the set actually is – is it huge, or are they just doing a loop?"
- Where to watch in the UK: Apple TV
- Where to watch in the US: Apple TV
18. Domhnall Gleeson: The Studio

"I'm only halfway through The Studio, starring Seth Rogen. I'm looking forward to finishing that. It's superbly made and deeply funny. The cast and crew are quite a team."
- Where to watch in the UK: Apple TV
- Where to watch in the US: Apple TV
19. Suranne Jones: Wednesday
"I'm in research mode so I've been watching a lot of true crime documentaries. So, it's quite dark where I've been going, but that's why l also like the drama Wednesday starring Jenna Ortega. It's got lots of fantasy and is brilliant – but it's also a little bit dark."
- Where to watch in the UK: Netflix
- Where to watch in the US: Netflix
20. Millie Gibson: House of Guinness
"I binged Black Doves recently, it's so good. Keira Knightley and Sarah Lancashire are amazing. I'm also really enjoying House of Guinness."
- Where to watch in the UK: Netflix
- Where to watch in the US: Netflix
