Once again, the trio are helping Natalie Dew's Tanika and the rest of the Marlow police department with a series of murder cases, with victims this time including the beloved mayor of the town and a celebrity chef.

With these three new cases, this means the group have helped to solve seven cases in total – but will there be a more in the offing in a potential fourth season?

We don't yet know if there will be a fourth season of The Marlow Murder Club, but that shouldn't be a surprise, as season 3 has only just been released.

In previous years, renewals for new seasons have been confirmed in May, two months after the previous run had debuted. We could therefore expect something similar to play out this year, if the show is to return for more episodes.

Thankfully, the cast have already expressed interest in returning. While speaking exclusively with Radio Times ahead of season 3, Judith star Samantha Bond was asked what she would like to see in a potential future season of the show.

"At the moment, I'd just like to know there was a future season," she responded. "So we're doing a lot of finger crossing and leg crossing, and that's where we are at the moment."

Meanwhile, when asked what she would like to see for her character going forward, Jo Martin said of Suzie: "I sort of hinted at the fact that she may have a bit of romance.

"Because since her relationship with her daughter's father, she's not had anything, and I think she's still a vibrant older woman who's got a lot to give in the love stakes.

"I think she's looking at Judith and Hugh [Quarshie]'s character, and she's thinking ‘I could have some of that’. And I think there's a journey for that. And also, I think she needs to get into a bit more martial arts. We need a bit more hands on."

Whether any of this comes to pass remains to be seen, but we will make sure to keep this page updated with any news regarding the show's future.

When would a potential The Marlow Murder Club season 4 be released?

The Marlow Murder Club has thus far been remarkably consistent with the release dates for its new seasons.

All three of the show's runs so far have debuted on U&Drama in March, meaning it seems likely that a potential fourth season would debut in March 2027.

Of course, this hasn't been confirmed yet, so we will make sure to update this page once we have more concrete news on the release date for any future seasons.

If The Marlow Murder Club were to return for a fourth season, we would certainly expect the central trio of Samantha Bond, Jo Martin and Cara Horgan to be back as Judith, Suzie and Becks.

Meanwhile, Natalie Dew would almost certainly be back as Tanika, along with her team Brendan, Jason, and Alice, played by Phill Langhorne, Tijan Sarr and Holli Dempsey.

Hugh Quarshie could also be back as Professor Gifford, who has been in the early stages of a romance with Judith, while we would expect a host of new guest stars to also be in the cast, filling out the crucial roles in the season's cases.

Here's a list of the main cast members for The Marlow Murder Club, all of whom could return for season 4:

  • Samantha Bond as Judith Potts
  • Jo Martin as Suzie Harris
  • Cara Horgan as Becks Starling
  • Natalie Dew as Tanika Malik
  • Phill Langhorne as DS Brendan Perry
  • Tijan Sarr as DC Jason Kennedy
  • Holli Dempsey as DC Alice Hackett
  • Hugh Quarshie as Professor Gifford

Is there a trailer for a potential The Marlow Murder Club season 4?

There isn't a trailer available for The Marlow Murder Club season 4 yet, as not only has the new season not started filming, the show hasn't actually been renewed at this point.

We will make sure to update this article with any new footage as we get it, and in the meantime you can rewatch the season 3 trailer here.
