Grace season 6 release date finally confirmed as John Simm crime drama returns
Grace and Branson will be taking on four more murder cases in Brighton.

John Simm's detective is back on the case, as we now know exactly when the sixth season of ITV crime drama Grace will start airing.
The first episodes of the new season will air on Sunday 29 March at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with subsequent episodes expected to arrive weekly. As in previous runs of the show, the episodes will be aired over two-hour slots.
The new season will see Simm joined once again by fellow cast members Richie Campbell (Glenn Branson), Zoë Tapper (Cleo Moray), Laura Elphinstone (Bella Moy), Brad Morrison (Nick Nicholl) and Juliette Motamed (Vee Wilde).
Meanwhile, guest stars this time around will include Grantchester's Rishi Nair, Showtrial's Ali Khan, Ackley Bridge's Gurjeet Singh, Blue Lights star Hannah McClean, DI Ray's Tamla Kari and The Killing Kind's Sara Powell.

When filming began on season 6 back in May 2025, Simm said in a statement: "This is the longest I’ve been involved in any show! But it’s such a joy to do, and to be surrounded by a team like this for large chunks of the year makes it impossible to turn down. I’m really looking forward to seeing where Roy’s journey goes in this series."
The last season of the show came to a dramatic end, with Grace's boss and nemesis Assistant Chief Constable Cassian Pewe, played by Sam Hoare, being revealed as a corrupt cop, who had been having an affair with Grace's dead wife, Sandy.
After revealing a host of new details about Sandy's disappearance and her gambling debts, which left her at the mercy of the Benchdale OCG.

The same gang was still owed a debt by Sandy, and sent Grace a threat through an imprisoned Cassian – they would be coming for his and Sandy's son, Bruno.
Fans can no doubt expect the repercussions of this to play out in season 6.
Grace season 6 will air on ITV1 and ITVX from Sunday 29 March at 8pm. Seasons 1-5 are available to stream in full now on ITVX.
