Death in Paradise teases Selwyn drama as his reputation is on the line in first-look clip
"There are some people on Saint Marie who think I should have pressed harder."

When a man's body is found in the finale of Death in Paradise season 15, some locals believe it is the work of the Lusca – a sea monster said to inhabit the waters of the Caribbean – due to the strange marks on the victim.
But Giles Parry is already known to Selwyn, who remembers the investigation into the death of his son Benjamin, which was ruled a drowning many years ago.
It was the Guadeloupe coast guard who "stated their claim", Selwyn tells Mervin in an exclusive clip shared with Radio Times.
"I did push for us to have a role, but the SIO wasn't interested," he said. But this time, the commissioner is determined to do things differently.
"There are some people on Saint Marie who think I should have pressed harder, especially when they ran into a dead end. It's always been felt more could have been done."
He then reaches into his car and pulls out today's newspaper with the headline: 'Police in Shambles.'
"Considering I am already persona non grata, I would like to do my bit to try and try and solve this case and now, and win back the community's trust."

Elsewhere, Mervin is still adjusting to the news that he has a niece, Eloise, who turned up unexpectedly at his beach hut in the penultimate episode.
Given that her dad Solomon is currently in prison for his role in a shooting – an ordeal that saw Mervin himself kidnapped as his brother tried to manoeuvre his way out of trouble – the timing makes sense.

Perhaps she's hoping the detective can help her dad in some way. Or maybe she's simply in need of reassurance that everything is going to be OK.
That's not exactly Mervin's speciality, but we have high hopes given how much he's grown so far.
The Death in Paradise season 15 finale airs on Friday 27 March at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
