Brendan O'Carroll, who leads the cast of the Irish sitcom alongside his real family members, will be back in the permed wig and cardigan as Agnes alongside wife Jennifer Gibney, who plays on-screen daughter, Cathy.

After filming the series in Glasgow across the beginning of May, the latest antics of the gang are ready to go.

Luckily, you don't even have to wait that long to find out what they've been up to, as fans can tune into Mrs Brown's Boys from Friday 1st August at 9:30pm.

On top of that, the full box set will become available on BBC iPlayer, so you can binge them all at once if it takes your fancy.

The series will be comprised of five episodes in total.

Surprisingly, this is only the fifth series of the show as it stands, with no new episodes arriving since September 2023 – but continues to be a fan favourite, even winning a National Television Awards in September last year.

Mrs Brown's Boys returned for a regular Christmas Specials last year, maintaining a streak started on BBC One since 2011.

However, after a long-standing spot on Christmas Day, it was pushed back to an 11.05pm timeslot, and lost its title as one of the most-watched shows of the big day in favour of Gavin and Stacey: The Finale, Wallace and Gromit's Vengeance Most Fowl, and The King's Speech.

Mrs Brown's Boys airs on Friday 1st August at 9:30pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
