BBC confirms Boy Meets Girl series 2
Rebecca Root is set to return as Judy in the BBC2 comedy
BBC2 is bringing back transgender comedy Boy Meets Girl starring Rebecca Root.
As RadioTimes.com revealed last October, the channel was keen to make another series of the comedy, which charted a love affair between an older transgender woman (Root) and a younger cisgender man Leo (Harry Hepple).
By the conclusion of the first series, Judy and Leo had won the support of both their families and had declared their enduring love for one another. Series two will see them navigate their relationship "through new choppy waters" according to the BBC.
The show is due to go into production in Manchester next month and is scheduled to air later this year.

A welcome return for this warm-hearted love story with a twist.
