How to pre-order the Google Pixel 10a in the UK and is it worth it?
The mid-priced Google Pixel 10a is here.

Google has dropped its latest mid-priced phone in our midst.
The Google Pixel 10a is part of the lauded Google Pixel 10 family, which came out last year. Like its predecessors, it's a frontrunner of the phone market when it comes to design, speed and durability, boasting over 30 hours of battery life and access to Google's flagship AI system, Gemini.
This new device is decidedly cheaper than the other models, coming in at £499, but that doesn't mean its specs are worse off.
Below, we've laid out everything you need to know about the new Google Pixel 10a, including our honest view on how worthy it is of your money.
Plus, we've begun rounding up all the retailers you can find it from, and a few deals we like the look of. For a closer look at its predecessor, check out the Google Pixel 10 UK release date.

Best Google Pixel 10a deal we've seen today

Right now there are several retailers offering deals on the Google Pixel 10a. Our current favourite is from Sky, where you can claim an extra £100 off when you trade in and you can save £72 on the Google Pixel Buds 2a. These slick earbuds came out last year and feature an all-day battery, Active Noise Cancellation and crisp immersive audio. They normally cost £129, so taking £72 off reduces the price to £57.

Google Pixel 10a vs Google Pixel 10: What's the difference?

While they belong to the same family, the Google Pixel 10a is more of a distant cousin to the Google Pixel 10, as its primary objective is to be a mid-priced alternative to the main flagship series – however that doesn't mean its features are worse than the 10's.
To start, the 10a is slightly longer and lighter, with a larger 9mm display to the 10's 8.6mm. The 10a also benefits from longer battery life, over 30 hours, and has fast charging of up to 50% in 30 minutes.
The two phones are the same on screen, with full 24-bit depth with 16 million colours and HDR. However, the 10a lacks the protection of the 10's Gorilla Victus 2 glass – which is overall stronger than its Gorilla Glass 7i.
As you might have predicted however, the main differences between the two are around the camera. While both devices have one 48 MP and one 13 MP ultrawide camera on the rear, the Google Pixel 10 also has an additional 10.8 MP Dual PD telephoto camera which includes 5x optical zoom. Translated, the Google Pixel 10a camera is still a brilliant quality but ultimately lacks the sharpness and zoom-in perks of the more expensive 10. You'll also notice the 10a lacking a few editing and AI features that the other phones possess, so if that matters to you, go with the 10.
Google Pixel 10a design: What are the new colourways?
Four new soft colourways are available for the Google Pixel 10a: Lavender, Berry, Fog and Obsidian. Again, translated that means: purple, deep pink, greyish green and black.
Is the Google Pixel 10a worth it?
As a proud owner of the iPhone 16e, I'm all for mid-priced phones. They're obviously cheaper but still have a lot of the functionalities and perks you'd want from a modern smartphone, like AI inclusions, fast processing and good battery life.
It mainly depends on what you want to use it for. If you want a phone for just day-to-day use, to pay for things on the go, send emails and scroll social media, then this phone is absolutely one to go for, and it will last you a long time.
However, if you want it for creative purposes like photography, business or filming videos, you may have to go for more expensive models, which guarantee you the best storage and best camera quality.
