The new Minecraft-like once started life as a Minecraft server, but has evolved into something entirely new over the years.

Unfortunately, Hytale is not free. While many players have called on the developers to make the game free-to-play, for the moment, it is a paid experience.

Additionally, the game is not available on Steam (nor consoles, for that matter), because the devs want to make sure the game is in a strong enough state first.
