Which consoles and platforms can play Arknights: Endfield?

There’s no mention of any Switch, Switch 2 or Xbox ports, which is odd, given that those platforms comprise millions of players.

If you want to play it on PC, you will either have to use a standalone launcher or play it via the Epic Games Store.

It appears that the developers have no intention of releasing it on Steam, as confirmed by the official VK group, which was then posted to Reddit.

Arknights: Endfield gameplay and story details

Arknights: Endfield is a spin-off from Arknights, a tower defence game, and this sequel builds upon this legacy quite a bit, offering a semi-open world to explore with roleplaying elements, as well as incorporating base building and automation as you might find in Factorio or Satisfactory.

Combat is semi-real-time, and makes use of a combo skill system. During all this, you take control of four characters, with you being able to switch between them at any given time, though this is slowly introduced so as not to overwhelm the player.

The game takes place on an alien moon, Talos-II, with the player being the “Endministrator” of Endfield Industries, which has set up shop on the beleaguered moon.

Talos-II frequently experiences massive natural disasters, as well as supernatural ones, which alter the world in dangerous ways.

Is there an Arknights: Endfield trailer?

Indeed, there is an Arknights: Endfield trailer, and you check it out above!

The trailer in question is a PlayStation 5 gameplay demo, which takes place during the game's prologue, with one character taking on small groups of enemies in a frozen world, but it quickly proceeds onto some more intense scenarios with four characters and base defences.

Arkknights: Endfield uses a customised version of the Unity engine, and fair to say, it’s looking rather handsome for a free-to-play title.
