ARC Raiders sales numbers: How many people are playing?

Since its release in 2025, ARC Raiders has fast become one of the most popular games in the world.

Bringing a fresh new spin on the extraction shooter genre, the game from Swedish studio Embark has managed to rack up huge sales numbers, and even managed to keep most of those players online months later.

But how many copies has ARC Raiders sold, and how many people are still playing? Here's everything we know.

ARC Raiders sales numbers: How many copies has ARC Raiders sold?

According to the latest figures from November 2025, courtesy of Alinea Analytics, ARC Raiders has sold a total of 7.7 million copies across PC, Xbox and PlayStation.

That being said, this was way back in November, and ARC Raiders has continued to sell exceptionally well, so the actual figure is likely now above 8m, if not even higher than that.

We know for a fact that ARC Raiders has continued to sell well, in fact, as according to recent figured from SteamDB, the game was the top seller on Steam over the Christmas period.

Between 23rd-30th December 2025, ARC Raiders garnered the highest revenue on Steam (excluding free-to-play games), beating Battlefield 6, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Baldur's Gate 3 and even the Steam Deck.

So, the confirmed figure is 7.7m copies sold, but in our opinion, it's safe to assume that we've long since broken the 8m barrier.

ARC Raiders player numbers: How many people are playing ARC Raiders?

Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing exactly how many people are playing ARC Raiders, because neither Xbox nor PlayStation publish up-to-date figures.

What we can do, however, is take a look at PC player numbers thanks once again to our friends at SteamDB, and the figures are rather impressive.

ARC Raiders's player count peaked at 481,966 a few weeks after launch, and has never lost that momentum.

At the end of December 2025 and beginning of 2026, ARC Raiders continues to rack up daily player peaks above 400,000 and has not falled below 300,000 since 15th December 2025.

This means that the game is routinely among the top five most-played games on Steam, and is often the most played non-free-to-play game on the platform.

So, when we combine that with the certainly very-high-but-unknown player numbers from Xbox and PlayStation, it's safe to say that ARC Raiders won't be going away any time soon.
