Sci-fi thriller The Boroughs stars Alfred Molina, Alfre Woodard, Bill Pullman, Geena Davis, Clarke Peters and more, and follows an unlikely group of heroes who have to band together in a seemingly picturesque retirement home.

That is just one of the big new shows arriving on Netflix in May 2026, with other additions including British drama Legends, which stars Steve Coogan and tells an incredible true story, plus Mating Season, a new animated comedy from the creators of Big Mouth.

Meanwhile, star-studded comedy-drama The Four Seasons is back for a second season, while Danish thriller The Chesnut Man is also returning.

Of course, there are also some big new films landing on the platform, including Remarkably Bright Creatures, which is based on the best-selling novel of the same name and stars Sally Field and Lewis Pullman.
