Ted Lasso star joins Keira Knightley in first look at dark new Netflix thriller as release date confirmed

All of those familiar faces can be glimpsed in the new images – which are dotted around this page.

Other names you might recognise on the cast list include Art Malik (The Living Daylights, Homeland), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Surface, Loki), Kaya Scodelario (Skins, The Gentlemen), David Morrissey (The Walking Dead, Sherwood) and Daniel Ings (The Gold, The Gentlemen).

Based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Ruth Ware and directed by The Dig's Simon Stone, it follows a journalist who finds herself at the centre of a very curious fate while travelling aboard a luxury yacht for a travel assignment.

"A journalist witnesses a passenger thrown overboard late at night, only to be told that it didn't happen, as all passengers and crew are accounted for," the official synopsis teases. "Despite no one believing her, she continues to look for answers, putting her own life in danger."

Speaking about the adaptation, Ware said: "I’ve said in acknowledgements before that it takes a village to make a book, but what I learned going on set for Cabin 10 is that it takes a whole town to make a film – it’s truly amazing seeing so many people working so hard on something you created."

She added: "It’s also a big leap of faith of course – like handing your baby over to strangers. But I feel Lo and company are in good hands."
