Official Secrets, the story of a spy who leaked classified information in the run-up to the 2003 invasion of Iraq, may soon add another respected actor to its line-up. Joining Harrison Ford, Natalie Dormer, Martin Freeman and Paul Bettany is Gillian Anderson, Variety reports.
Anderson’s back in the ascendent at the moment, having starred in both the BBC’s adaptation of War & Peace and reprising the role of Dana Scully in The X-Files. Official Secrets also deals in conspiracies and confidential information, albeit of a more terrestrial nature. It’s based on the true story of Katharine Gun, with Dormer playing the British intelligence officer.
