Coldplay and Back to the Future go together like, er, Coldplay and most other films in that we weren’t particularly aware that the band were big fans of the classic 1980s time-travel movie.
But fans they are, to the point that Chris Martin and co roped in Marty McFly himself (aka actor Michael J Fox) to join them onstage for a cover of BTTF’s classic musical finale at a gig in New Jersey last night.
And as it turns out, we have Martin’s son to thank for the stirring renditions of Earth Angel and Johnny B Goode, so well done Moses! We guess Marty was right all along…
