Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made

This playful Disney movie stars Winslow Fegley as an oddball kid with delusions of being a detective. Together with his (imaginary) partner, a 500kg polar bear, he sets about trying to solve the case of a student's missing backpack, only to find himself embroiled in a Russian conspiracy in the heart of his home city of Portland, Oregon. With his overactive imagination and deadpan demeanour, Fegley's pint-sized private eye makes for a quirky hero in the Wimpy Kid mould. Although he sometimes borders on the annoying, there's enough vulnerability there to keep him sympathetic. This being adapted from the first Timmy Failure book by author Stephen Pastis, more adventures are sure to follow.
