Review

Our Score
This early Roger Corman venture is a fitfully entertaining camp western featuring two female adversaries - shades of Johnny Guitar - and giving more emphasis to sex and violence than was customary at the time. Curvaceous Beverly Garland is the town marshal's widow who straps on his six-shooters and badge after he's gunned down. Equally curvaceous Allison Hayes (of Attack of the 50 Foot Woman fame) is the wicked saloon-keeper who hires John Ireland's gunslinger to kill Garland - but, wouldn't you know, he falls for her instead. Hurriedly shot in seven days of unexpectedly rainy weather, the film's microbudget shows up in a saloon chorus line of only three girls.
