UEFA Women’s Euros ratings hit for ITV confirmed after England v Wales match
It was a big Sunday for ITV...

England's 6-1 demolition of Wales at Euro 2025 returned ITV1's best ratings of the tournament so far and their highest peak audience since the final of Britain's Got Talent in May.
Attendance records have already been broken out in Switzerland this summer, and it seems fans are enjoying the festival of football back in the UK as well.
Sunday's game (ITV1, 7:15pm) was watched by a peak of 4.6 million across all devices and averaged 4.2 million viewers across all devices.
It was a big evening for ITV, as the England v Wales match and Love Island (ITV2, 9pm) saw the broadcaster record its best Sunday night audience volume of the year to date.
The home nation neighbours met at a women's major tournament for the first time in St Gallen in the final round of fixtures in Group D.

The Lionesses knew a win would be enough to reach the knockout stages and continue the defence of their 2022 title, and made a fast start in an attempt to secure the points.
Sarina Wiegman's side stormed to a 4-0 lead at the break and finished with a 6-1 victory, which has set up a last-eight clash against Group C winners Sweden on Thursday evening.
The defeat is a disappointing end to Wales's first-ever major tournament. Even so, Rhian Wilkinson's side have done themselves proud and, in Jess Fishlock's goal against France, produced a historic moment.

Only one of the four quarter-finals – France v Germany (ITV1, Saturday 19th July at 7:15pm) – will be shown on ITV, with the other three broadcast on BBC One.
ITV will have first choice of the semi-finals, which means they will surely select England's semi-final should they qualify, while both broadcasters will show the final on the evening of Sunday 27th July.
If England can get there, then the eyes of the nation will be on the tournament decider in Basel.
Euro 2025 is available to watch for free across ITV and the BBC this summer.
